Precipitation sensors KELLER Rain Catcher series, etc.

The precipitation weight sensor measures the volume of water that has fallen in the form of rain by means of a tilting container designed for low-viscosity liquids. The error that usually occurs due to incomplete runoff is automatically compensated due to the shape of the tank. The container can hold 2 cm3 (2 g) or 4 cm3 (4 g) of water.
The area of the collecting surface is 200 cm2 (WMO standard), so one filling of the container corresponds to the intensity of rain equal to 0.1 or 0.2 mm per square meter. When the container is tipped over, the tongue contact built into the sensor closes. The pulse output data can be electrically read, transmitted and recorded.
- Accuracy: ± 0.2% with intensity correction.
- Collecting funnel: 200 cm2 / WMO standard.
- Application ranges: models without heating: 0...+70 °C, (frost resistance up to -20 °C), models with heating: -20 ...+70 °C, without icing, snow drifts.
- Pulse output: reed contact, reverse polarity protection, surge-free signal, supply voltage 4...30 VDC, current consumption max. 100 Ma, standard 50 Ma, load max. 30 VDC / 0,5 A.

About KELLER
-
OWN PRODUCTION
From the very first day, the plant specializes in the creation of pressure sensors and converters, provides a full production cycle from the manufacture of individual parts to the final acceptance of finished products. -
HUGE ASSORTMENT
Realizing that the sensor is the heart of any measuring equipment, KELLER pays great attention to the further production of its own pressure and level converters, pressure gauges and indicators. -
WIDE APPLICATION
KELLER sensors regulate the internal pressure in aircraft cabins, provide switching of natural gas to gasoline in hybrid cars and are used as reference sensors in laboratory studies.
